Speaking at Azure APE XXL about Azure Governance Best Practices and Enterprise Scale together with Thomas Naunheim

Yesterday Thomas and I was really honored to be invited to the Azure APE XXL event in Appeldorn, Netherlands.

The Azure APE is a new community meetup founded by Maarten Goet and his colleagues, focusing on Azure Platform Engineering, hence the name APE. The Team has organized several meetups in the past, and yesterday they hosted the XXL edition, a half-day event with three parallel tracks. Over 200 attendees participated and the keynote was delivered by Thomas Maurer.

Thomas and I had the honor of presenting a session on Azure Governance Best Practices and Enterprise Scale. We delved into the key pillars for creating a well-defined Landing Zone and configuring compliance and security via Azure Policy. In the second part, we covered numerous security best practices, sharing insights from the field and highlighting common pitfalls to avoid for a well-designed Azure environment. We also show various demos, from defining custom Governance rules to using Defender for CSPM and securing repositories on GitHub and DevOps.

Our session was well-attended and highly interactive, with many participants engaging in the discussion.

Thanks for inviting us to this great event.
